Interesting quiz, whatever it means. I didn't agonise over my answers too much, but my results were:
Finland 75%
Italy 63%
British and the Commonwealth 63%
Poland 63%
United States 56%
France, Free French and the Resistance 50%
Soviet Union 44%
Germany 38%
Japan 19%
Thanks for posting the link Brian!
Regards
Jake

Interesting, but unusual I'd say! Don't get me wrong, I'm not disappointed in any way. It's just that I didn't expect these results:
You scored as Poland. Your army is Poland's army. Your tenacity will form a concept in the history of your nation and you're also ready to continue fighting even if your country is occupied by the enemy. Other nations that are included in this category are Greece, Norway, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Poland 94%
United States 88%
Finland 75%
British and the Commonwealth 75%
Germany 56%
France, Free French and the Resistance 56%
Italy 50%
Japan 44%
Soviet Union 19%
It's nice to see I'm suited for my own army!

To echo everyone else, interesting.
Regardless of what are your political views, you could have made a career in German army. You believe in effective warfare by method of combined arms and superior military training.
Germany 94%
British and the Commonwealth 75%
Poland 75%
Finland 63%
Italy 56%
Soviet Union 38%
France, Free French and the Resistance 31%
Japan 25%
United States 13%
However, I took it a second time, appealing more to patriotism and sacrifice. I was expecting Poland, but I got Soviet Union!
You should have fought in the army of the Soviet Union. You believe that the enemy will be conquered by a combination of manpower, political coordination and relentless spirit of resistance.
Soviet Union 100%
Germany 88%
Italy 75%
Poland 63%
United States 50%
Finland 50%
Japan 31%
France, Free French and the Resistance 25%
British and the Commonwealth 25%

You scored as Finland.
Your army is the army of Finland. You prefer to win your enemy by your wit rather than superior weapons. Enemy will have a hard time against your small but effective force.

Interesting test, and fun to be most likely to be Poland/Norway as I am Norwegian. It is of course mostly a joke test as we of our generation and part of the world consider fighting or dying for our country or form of rule to be a theoretical concept at best. If we took that test in, say, 1940, I dare say most of us would have rather crasser views.
As for the Save Private Ryan movie, I consider its concept ridiculous to put it mildly. Risking a platoon in a combat area just to ease a mother's sorrow? You might as well call the entire invasion off. The beach part of the movie was great, of course. But all in all The Longest Day is a vastly better movie.
