The film is the best i never see of the Warsaw ghetto.
All is reflectec in the charracters. The human feelings, the brutality, all...

You could see how some poles try to help the judish, but others was trying to be more nazis than the german nazis.
And there are some scenes of the Warsaw uprising, street fighting.
The combats seems to me very realistic.
(You could see one Panzer III, if i´m not wrong).
Soldiers, womans, Childrens.... All die as is suppose that one could die... In a deep silence... not giving great jumps, heavy shouts as in some sucks films...

If you don´t see that film... Go and see it.
It´s all i can say.
Suberb film.

Best Regards,

Thank you for the review Santiago. Roman Polanski is well known in the U.S., perhaps the best known foreign filmmaker for some kind of relationship with a teenager that forced him to flee the country years ago.

However, your review looks like this is an excellent movie and one I am defintely interested in seeing. Is this movie in English? And is it a new release or did you rent the video?

Looks like a very promising film, I'd love to see it.

Yes, it looks like a very well done film. I looked it up at imdb.com, and it is a new release. Hopefully it will make it here in limited release, although where I live even The Grey Zone never made it here and it has brand name American actors.

Movies of this stature could never beat out Jackass, The Movie and other similar films of complete idiocy. Such is life in America.

D.W.
