I don't know if this is the correct section to post this but sinvce it has to do with stamps... here we go...
I'm looking for SS Stempel pictures (like the one in my sig).
I'm collecting digital images of those stempels to turn them into high resolution brushes for Paintshop Pro.
I don't know of people here have the actuall stempels or feldpost or anything containing those and would be willing to scan them for me? I know i might be asking a lot but what will be available in return is a giant collection of SS stampel brushes for perhaps re-enactors who can use them to create their own feldpost with them.
The bigger the image the better and Dutch SS stempels (if they even exist) would be the cherrie on the pie...
Thanks for your time.
Regards,
Ichi
p.s. the brush pack will be posted on Feldgrau when done!
SS Stempels
There are many, many of them out there already in use by reenactors etc. The reproductions are readily available for sale with just about any unit etc. you may care to have. Originals are obviously very rare and costly, most of what you see out there on eBay and such are fakes, but occasionally at better militaria shows one finds good originals for sale (not cheap!).
The fakes and legitimate reenactor reproductions are most often 'lifted' from original impressions on documents and cleaned up and reproduced--some folks are quite good at this and have done hundreds of different ones.
By the way, the reproductions very often make much better images than the originals did because they are softer plastic instead of hard rubber or metal.
If you are looking for particular ones, you might contact one of the makers.

Re: SS Stempels
I had some stamps made especially for this this DOCUMENT. I will make some impressions next week when I can get to them.
