Does anyone have info on the Luftwaffe units and bases involved in the Schweinfurt raid by the 8th Air Force on October 14, 1943?

You might try the following book. The problem is that just about EVERY Luftwaffe fighter unit based in Germany, Holland and Belgium participated, including training units. So to give you the information you want, someone will have to spend some major time making a long, long list for you.

Golücke, Friedhelm, Schweinfurt und der strategische Luftkrieg 1943 (Paderborn, 1980).

Luftwaffe Units and Bases

I overstated my interest. All I need is the name of one or two bases involved in the Schweinfurt defense and the fighter units stationed at those bases. I thank you for the reference.

Schweinfurt Mission - 14 October 1943

I./JG 1 Deelen/Holland (Fw 190A-4) claimed 5 B-17s shot down plus 5 shot up so severely they had to drop out of formation.
III./JG 3 Bad Wörishofen/22 km WSW of Landsberg (Bf 109G-6) claimed 18 B-17s for a loss of 3 Bf 109s plus 2 more damaged; 5 of these claims were by 7. Staffel's Bf 109s equipped with BR 21 under wing projectors for the 21 cm solid fuel high explosive rocket used to break up bomber formations.
I./JG 27 Fels am Wagram/Austria (Bf 109G-4/G-6) claimed 5 B-17s plus 4 probables for the loss of 1 Bf 109 and 4 damaged.
III./ZG 26 Plantlünne/12 km SE of Lingen (Bf 110G-2) claimed 10 B-17s for the loss of 1 Bf 110.

These were the four highest scoring Gruppen that day, although many, many more units took part and filed claims.
