Afrika Korps emblems.

General WWII era German military discussion that doesn't fit someplace more specific.

Afrika Korps emblems.

Post by MarineGYSGT »

Hello,
I was wondering if anybody could help me find the different emblems that were used for the Afrika Korps. Im a Marine in Iraq and trying to adopt a similar symbol for my unit.
Thank you for your time.

Yeah I know, I am trying to get a good picture of one. I am looking for one. I took a four leaf palm tree and super imposed an Eagle, Globe, and Anchor on it. But I would like to see the actual Afrika Korps one they used.

That is what I was looking for, my design is similar but only had 4 leaves on the tree and instead of a swastika I have a EGA.

That sounds like a pretty badass idea Gunny. Trouble is, there's already a unit in the Marine Corps that uses the same symbol. Bravo 1/11 at Pendleton has that painted on all of their vehicles and howitzers. It looks pretty unofficial though; the same as A 1/11 (my unit) and our skull with a forked tongue. You should still do it though.
