Hello Gentlemen!

Besides the famous and highly decorated General Hermann Breith, you also have a Generalleutnant Friedrich BREITH. He was the last Commanding General of the 4. Gebirgs-Division wich in the period of February to May 1945 was part of the 1. Panzer-Armee.
Generalleutnant Friedrich Breith and the 4. Gebirgs-Division fought at Troppau and Olmütz in April and May 1945 and surrendered to the Red Army. Friedrich Breith was a POW in the Soviet Union until 1955.

I don't know were he was born but he seem to fit your parameters, or?

Hi Herr Doktor!

I think you may have another valid candidate here.
Unfortunately I did not find a birthplace either.

Cheers,

Christian
