Does anybody have the Order Of Battle of the Flak Abteilung (mot) 609 and the equipment they should have had in Africa?

Thanks in advance

Well, I cetrainly never said 609th SP Fla (mg) Abteilung.

As it was an Infantry Inspectorate unit of the Army and not an Airforce unit, it would have been a "Bataillon".

Once again:

Army Infantry Inspectorate Antiaircraft:
-- Fla-Bataillon

Army Artillery (Antiaircraft) Inspectorate:
-- Heeres-Flak-Abteilung

Airforce Anitaircraft:
-- Flak-Abteilung

Cheers
Leo

One day I'm going to get my head around this.

Sorry for the confusion

Sorry for seeming like I was blaming you Leo when I was trying to give you the credit.

Please bear with a well meaning but uneducated fool.

Thanks Leo and David.

Let me see if I understood:

In Africa were assigned the following units:

-Heeres Flak Artillerie Abteilung 609 (Attached to the 21st PD in 1943 in Tunisia) (http://cosmos.oninetspeed.pt/dak/dak/21stdivision.htm)
I have seen another source (http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/Gli ... en21-R.htm) which says that in 1942 the Flak Bataillon 609 was attached to the 21st PD, are they talking about the same unit, or actually in 1942 the 21st PD had attached an Infantry Antiaircraft Unit and in 1943 it was replaced by a Heeres AA Unit?

-Flak Abteilung (mot) 609 (Attached to the 164th Leichte Afrika Division in August 1942(http://cosmos.oninetspeed.pt/dak/dak/16 ... vision.htm)
Was it an Luftwaffe Unit?

There were in Africa three Anti-Aircraft Units "609"? or two? or just one but the problem was the common confussion about denominations?

Excusse me about my confussion...... :?

Thanks one more time

I probably "muddied the waters" with my incorrect designation.
Thankfully the good Dr has put us straight.
I'm going to let him answer your question, as the unit in 164 Leichte is the only one I know of. (But that doesn't mean a great deal  )
