Heinrich Egner?

I have a distant relative who supposedly served in the SS in World War II. His name is Heinrich Egner. Is there any way to find out whether he did serve in the SS, and if so, what unit he served in?

Do you know his date of birth or do you have any photos or other information?

I have a photograph of him with his mother and grandmother after the war. I am not sure when he was born. He has a brother by the name of Franz Johann Egner who was born in 1931. I believe Heinrich was born in the 1920s.
