Luftwaffe units in So. France, June 1943

I posted this in the Veterans and Vet info area but wanted to get it here too.

My great-uncle was killed in Lombia, Fra on June 4, 1943. The link below shows maps of the region. I do not know what unit he was in and was hoping someone here would have the resources to give me an idea what Luftwaffe units were operating in this area at the time of his death. At least it would give me a starting point to try and find out more about his service.
