Hello

The BeobachtungPz had usually a dummy gun, and instead of a gun, it had special radio equipments and range finder devices. For example, in the case of the Panther, Germans used some early D versions and converted them in Beobacthung Panzers. Normally there were no series production beobachtung panzers.

In the case of the BefehlPanzers they usually had an umbrella antenna and of course the normal antenas seen in the kampfpanzers. At least this is the case of the Panther.

So, sumarizing, enhanced radio capabilities in both, but befehl Pz retained main gun, and Beobachtung panzers replaced main gun with improved rangefinder devices.

I hope it helps. Greetings.
