Here is the complete set of 2KWHW, RSS Tag der Polizei (Police Day) Verkehrszeichen, or traffic signs. This is an identical set that was sold pre-war, the difference being that this wartime set is made from the lesser grade zinc, rather than the previously used light alloy, a reflection on the restrictions of essential metals for the war effort. They were sold on the 15th and 16th of February, 1941, by the Polizei and TN, or Technische Nothilfe, or emergency technical help units.

Hello,

A very interesting piece, I have two of these collection cans. Both about 105mm in diameter and 170mm tall. One has the handle like a mug, the other like a bucket, (loop over the top). Both have lockable lid with 8mm hole for pushing rolled up notes. A 30 x 3mm slot for coins, this has a swinging flap to prevent coins being flipped back out. Inside is another set of one way jaws to prevent coins being flipped back. Each can has a number embossed above the coin slot, and the words 'paper geld around the notes hole. Also embossed is the 'Gau' around the base, and makers embossed on the underside. 'M.Westerman & co. Neehin, rhur,
