SMS Emden's Landing Party's 4,300 mile Journey Home
Ye who dig's the pit!
Shall fall into it!
Shall fall into it!
Hello,
I've got that book, too, but it's not handy. As I recall, the landing party was not in Australia, but on an island. They were able to hijack another ship (the Alesha? something like that) and were able to make it home. The whole thing reads like a "Boys Own" adventure. I'll see what I can find later.

I have both books at hand
Kapitänleutnant von Mücke
Book 1: Emden
Book 2: Ayesha
But maybe you should get a copy yourself: I think it is worth reading:
