Nachrichtenabteilung 30 was element of the 30.Infanteriedivision. A Nachr.Abt. was responsible for setting up communication lines within the division and to other units.

The O is the letter O, not the number 0 - it stands for his blood type. The 115 is his Kriegstammrollennummer (unit roster number). Those unit rosters are possibly in the possession of the DRK or the WASt and prehaps you can determine the name thru applying for info on their websites.heidemann wrote:I guess the number 0 115 must refer to the soldiers number, but is it possible to find out the identity of that veteran, and how do I do it ?
