You will get an email.

As I see we use the same source :)
(I did not want to translate it, as I suppose Ábel can speak in Russian.)

Hi Guys,

On a related topic:

Does anyone know what forces the Red Army kept watching the Turks in the Caucasus in 1942-43?

Cheers,

Sid.

Sid

During ther Battle for the Caucasus. Tanscaucasian Front had one army the 45th Army along the Turkish border.

45 Army
June-Aug (61, 89, 151, 402, 408, 409 RDs, 55 Fortified Region)
Sept (228, 320, 402. 408, 409 RDs, 55 FR)
Oct (228, 320, 402, 409 RDs, 55 FR)
Nov (228, 409 RDs, 55 FR)
Dec (409 RD, 111 RB, 55FR)

So they kept transfering divisions to the battle.

Once 1943 came around 45th Army was back up to 4 Rifle Divisons along with a 4 Fortified Regions opposite Turkey.

Also Transcaucasian Front had a Group of Forces in Iran which consisted of (75RD, 15 Cav Corps (1 CD, 23 CD) This force remain consistant throughout 42 and 43.
