RK winner Uffz. Paul Speich, 1./Pi.Btl.162

Post by jmark »

Does anybody have any information about Unteroffizier Paul Speich from 1./Pionier-Bataillon 162? I am trying to find out if he survived the war, and is still alive today.

Any information about his career would also be extremely helpful.

Thanks!

Hi Ralf,

Thanks for your reply. I am interested in the period June 1942 - January 1943. I'd really like to know if he was with Pi.Btl.162 during this time. If so, was he wounded during this time?

Also, do you know if he is still alive?

Thanks in advance,

Jason

Hi Ralf,

I am interested in Uffz. Speich and Pi.Btl.162 because they are involved in the next book I am writing. I need to find as much information as I can about Pi.Btl.162 from September 1942 to January 1943. I am most interested in the November 1942 time period when they participated in an attack in the Barrikady Gun Factory. I have managed to locate small pieces of information from many different sources.

I know that you are an expert on 62.ID, so I tried to contact you about 8 to 10 months ago. You must have had a problem with your email because my emails kept bouncing back.

Perhaps it would be better if you contact me offline. My address:
[email protected]

I will be on holidays from 6-14 January 2004, so if I do not hear from you before then, I will contact you upon my return.

Best wishes,

Jason
