The Rhodesians i have been lucky enough to meet are good and honourable.

What do you think the end game in the Southern area of Africa is to bring in the coming decades as things progress as they are now Sid?

Jez,

The Rhodesians you have been lucky enough to meet may have been
good and honourable, and by and large that is my experience too. But they are products of a state that was often less than good and honourable, at the very least they acquiesced in its failings out of self interest and most still carry with them the prejudices they were brought up with.

There will be no "End Game" in Southern Africa. History is a continuum without an "end" as such.

There is also no reason to presuppose that things will progess as they are now. For example, no prediction of twenty five years ago could possibly have factored in the impact of AIDS on Africa. Indeed, at that stage it looked as though South Africa might have white minority rule for many decades and the Soviet Union appeared monolithic.

Cheers.
