295th Infanterie Division

Post by Opa »

Looking for all info and contacts on the 295th Infanterie Division. My Opa Erich Reimer was the Divisionarzt when it surrendered in Jan. 1943 in Stalingrad.

Book about 295.ID

Post by jmark »

By far the best source of information about 295.ID is the book "Rekonstruktion eines Tages-Buches: Die 295. Infanterie-Division von 1940 bis 1945" by Wolfgang Kirstein. This massive book has 1300 pages and contains almost every piece of available information about this Division.

The author is in contact with many veterans of the Division and probably will be able to help you. His website is:

Hope this has been of some help.
