A lot depends on how complete the victory and when it happens. Remember, despite what Rommel may do in Egypt, unbeknowest to him is that that allies are going to land in North Africa in November 1942.
This landing is going to devestate Rommel's opportunities. With Malta still in allied hands, he has no secure supply route (unless you take Tunisia - in which case his supply line to Egypt is v-e-r-y long).
