Hello,
I am trying to find out just how dispersed the paratrooper drop was during Operation Stosser. I understand that it was very bad conditions for a paratrooper drop (low clouds, night, high winds, inexperienced Ju52 pilots, little training etc) and have read accounts saying some landed in Bonn (German city, approx 80km east of target dropzone target, Mont Rigi, Belgium). Of the 850 or so paratroopers, I understand that possibly around 300 ended up anywhere near the crossroads objective.
But what of the others? How far west did some drop? I haven't really found a "motherlode" of information on this. Are there sources that may contain this information?
