Not sure exactly where to post things like this, and my document collection as well, so I'll try here. First up, my copy of Berliner Illustrirte Zeitung - 30.Mai 1940

Interesting thread that got me to dig out these publications that I've had stashed in the closet for years but have never paid much attention to. I'm not a 'collector' and so cannot remember how we got them other than via family friends here in the US. The only multiple issues are of the 'Germany' mag on the right, ranging from the years 1936 to 1939.

Re: My German Magazine and Newspaper Collection
Did some checking with the folks, and it turns out that a German Jew and former neighbor gave us these publications years ago when I was still a kid. His family came to the US after being 'expatriated' by the nazis in the '30's, and after the war he returned to Europe with the US military.
I glanced through some of them years ago, but for the most part they're forgotten and have been collecting dust. Very thankful to have grown up in a household where politics and religion were never discussed.
To be honest, this is the first time I've opened the 'kdf' mag .. apparently it's promoting tourism in the German territories. Here are some pics of the back cover and of the middle page..
