Here another pilot who was decorated with the Iron Cross, 2º Class in 1939.

Unteroffizier Albrecht Baun, who flew with the 6./ JG 53. Here the Known Victory Claims of Uffz. Baun:

Here another pilot who was decorated with the Iron Cross, 2º Class in 1939.

Oberfelwebel Chilla was listed among the crews of the K./ 88 (Legion Condor) which bombed Guernica. Anything more about him?

Here another pilot who was decorated with the Iron Cross, 2º Class in 1939. This time a bomber pilot.........

Major Benno Kosch; he led the I./ KG 152 during the first stages of the Polish Campaign...Since Sep 18 1939 onwards the I./ KG 152 was renamed as II./ KG 1 "Hindenburg". KG 1 "Hindenburg" flew within the framework of the Luftflotte 1 and then since 07 Sep 1939 onwards under Luftflotte 4. Also he was with the II./ KG 1 during the Battle of England and was reported as WIA on Sep 07 1940.

Later as Oberstleutnant he led the KG 26 (25 November 1940 – 01/11 February 1941) and KG 55 (01/11 February 1941 - 26 August 1942).

Here another airman who was decorated with the Iron Cross, 2º Class in 1939. He was a bomber crew.........

Oberfeldwebel Henkel was a crew's bomber within the 1./K.G.2. On Sep 10 1939 at 15:00 (took off) the 1./K.G.2 attacks polish troops in the area south of Lomza with nine Do-17M airplanes. Shortly before the target area the plane of squadron-leader Hptm.Hevelke (U5+H) was hit by polish AA fire. The left engine catches fire and soon the entire plane is aflame. The crew (Hptm.Hevelke KIA, UO Scholz KIA, UO Heckner MIA, Ofw.Henkel) jumps out. After a few days Henkel can escape and reach german positions.

Here another Stuka pilot who was decorated with the Iron Cross, 2º Class in 1939.

Leutnant Walter Stimpel; later as Oberleutnant and Staffel kapitän of the 6./stuka-Geschw.77, he was awarded with the Knight's Cross on July 06 1942. He served in the following units: StG-165, StG-77, Adj II/StG-77, Stfkpt 6/StG-77 and flew 400+ missions with the Ju 87 including 330 in the east. Destroyed several supply ships on the Dnjepr and five freighters in the Black Sea.

Here another Stuka pilot who was decorated with the Iron Cross, 2º Class in 1939.

Oberleutnant Kurt Huhn was a Stuka pilot in the St G 77. Later on March 17 of 1943 he was Awarded with the Knight's Cross. He served in the Following units: 4./ StG-165, Stfkpt 4./StG-77, Kdr II/StG-77 (4 / 43), Instr. LKS-9 and flew 550 missions, 400 in Russia.

Here another pilot who was decorated with the Iron Cross, 2º Class in 1939. I think he was this guy................

Oberleutnant Heinz Gutmann bomber pilot of the KG 53? Then pilot of Me-262 in the JG 7 by 1945?. He was awarded the Knight’s Cross on April 05 1944. KIA 03 March, 1945 at Üfingen opposing the Magdeburg raid. He was hit in the cockpit by B17 and B-24 return fire causing him to dive into the ground. He had been awarded the RK for his success as a bomber pilot. Both victories were scored with the Me 262.

Oberleutnant Runde was a Reconnaissance Pilot belonging to the 4. (F) / 14 who was shot down near Goodwood on board of his Bf-110 by the P.O. Charles Davis of the 238 Sqn on July 21, 1940.

Here another pilot who was decorated with the Iron Cross, 2º Class in 1939.................

Hauptmann Reinecke, who commanded the I. / ZG 76 during the campaigns in Poland (1939) and Norway (1940), from May 01 of 1939 till April 30 of 1940, when he was killed in action after a dogfight with a British aircraft Bristol Blenheim.

Here another elusive pilot who was decorated with the Iron Cross, 2º Class in 1939.................

Hauptmann Castell; so far I've found this info and I guess could be the same guy. Wulf-Dieter “zu” Castell: Pilot of Eurasia, in 1937 he took part in the search for the Ju 52/3m D-ANOY as a pilot of the Ju 52/3m D-AEHE.

Here another pilot who was decorated with the Iron Cross, 2º Class in 1939.................

Oberst Martin Fiebig commanded the KG 4 during the Polish campaign till the start of the campaign in the West on May 1940. On May 10 1940 he was shot down over Holland and came several days in Dutch captivity. Then he was transferred to the Reich Air Ministry (RLM) to Berlin, where he was assigned as officer at disposal to Panzer Group Guderian.

Here another pilot who was decorated with the Iron Cross, 2º Class in 1939.................

Generalmajor Hans Siburg, commanded the KG-257 (4/39), then the KG-26 during the Campaign of Poland (till 29/9/39). Then he was transferred as Inspector of Air Navigation and for Blind-Flight (till May 05 1940). Transferred to Norway as CoS of Air Region Command Norway (till 30 Jun 1940). Then transferred as Commanding General and Commander in Air Region Holland (Jul 01 1940 - Aug 06 1943). Then transferred to RLM (administration). In British captivity. Released in 1947.
