Bohmische Waffenfabrik

Post by PVH »

Hi Guys,
I've just acquired a Bohmische Waffenfabrik Pistole Model 27 Kal. 7.65 from a great friend. It is in reasonable condition has the Reichsadler proof stamp on the trigger guard. I somewhat familiar with this pistol, but, what I'd like to know, is who would have been issued this weapon originally?
Thanks again.

If the gun has a "76" next to the Reichsadler, it was issued to the Wehrmacht. Most probably to an officer.
If its stamped "H" or "HK" next to Reichsadler, the gun was issued to Police.

Hello fridgeman,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I can see no discernable "76, H, or HK" next to the Reichsadler. However, there is a very readable "K" stamped alone just to the right of the swastika circle of the Reichsadler. On the opposite side of the trigger guard there is another stamp which is difficult to interpret. It looks like a large letter "N" with some type of stick figure (person? dragon?) in the middle of it. This has the number 41 stamped directly beneath it which I assume is the year as it has a fairly early serial number, 31074. This unusual stamp is repeated on the barrel.
Best,

Does the stamp look like that?

Then it was issued to Police or other security forces as Gestapo for example.

Hard to say about the other stamp you mention without seeing it.

fridgeman,
Yes, that is precisely the stamp. Thank you. I don't know if I can get a clear enough picture of the other stamp to post here as it's so small. I've not been able to find any reference to it anywhere on line. Could you perhaps recommend a site?
Best,

Translate it with google translator if you cant read it, i checked it and it works. Not all translations will make sense, but most ;)
