Re: Bingler
Lieber Herr Doktor:
I am quite grateful for your information, and do apologise on taking so long to thank you. I have recently been busy like a one-legged man in a posterior-kicking contest.
Dr. Bingler signed the certificate awarding "die Ostmedaille" to my wife's uncle (and adoptive father) on 6 Oct. 1942.
Every shred I can uncover about the experiences of now-deceased relatives gives us a greater understanding and appreciation of them. Her uncle seemed to be a magnificent man, whom I regret never having met.
Best to you,
Ron.
