Soldbuch SS-Pz.Rgt 3 'Totenkopf' (For Trade Only)

Post by hucks216 »

Very nice 'been there' soldbuch to SS-Rottenfuhrer Berthold Heckmann which is packed with entries. There is a great photo of him on the inside cover with the Deaths Head collar tab clearly visible.
Soldbuch cover is loose from the pages and there are 2 pages loose within but for a SB that went through 5 years of war (and 66 years of peace) not bad at all.

Soldbuch was opened in February 1940 and until the wars end he served with the following basic training & front line Totenkopf related units:

12 SS-Totenkopf Standarte
SS-Infantry Rgt (mot.) 9
SS-Totenkopf-Kradschtz-Rgt 'Thule'
SS-Pz.Rgt 3 'Totenkopf' - Pi.Kp / 8 Kp / Stabskp

Awarded the Eastern Front Medal & KvK II Kl + Schw so likely to of served with SS-Pz.Rgt 3 in some form of support roles due to lack of PAB Silver and any EK's but that is just one of many possibilities, another being maybe they just never got round to entering them.

He was issued a total of 7 (!!) rifles during the course of the war with the first entered on 22nd Sept 1940 and the last one entered on 3rd May 1945. Was also issued a Luger on 4th Jan 1944.

Signatures within that I have been able to identify are:
Pg 19 - Hans Hammer (DKiG) and KIA 26.12.43 Kriwoj Rog (nice stamp as well)
Pg 19 - Siegfried Müller (DKiG) (I think it is his signature, but I'm not 100% sure of that one)
Pg 19 - Alois Krutzenbichler
Pg 26 - Franz Filleböck - KIA 26th June 1944 at Sasetto

I would like to trade this Soldbuch for a decent Grossdeutchland Soldbuch. By 'decent' I mean not one of the late war 'barrel scraping' recruits from the Luftwaffe etc.

Trade Conditions:
Photo on inside cover would be prefereable but not a priority. Physical condition - all pages must be present. Worn & Loose is ok just as long as they are all there. Issued prior to January 1944 and the earlier the better.

Please note that this Totenkopf is for Trade Only. I will not sell it.

Please PM me if you wish to see scans of any other particular pages but as I work shifts please bear in mind it might take me a little while to get back to you.
