Do you want allies or just those that actuall fought against the axis? Many states seem to have limited their participation to a declaration of war and possibly logistics or baseing support.

And there were several that declared war on Germany in 45. Thailand fought on both sides I believe, initially resisting the Japanese then allying with them. Mexico didn't have much of a navy but supplied a fighter squadron that saw combat in the Philipines. Of those that made signficant contributions Brazil may be one of the most over looked.

Africa is a big question to me. I'm not sure how many countries there were independent at the time vs still colonies. I do know that one of the routes for bombers headed for Europe from the US was down to Brail then across to Africa (south east coast somewhere), up to North Africa, and on to Britian.

I think I read somewhere that of all the US "services" the one with the highest mortality rate was the Merchant Marine. That said I don't think that there were as many Liberian flagged ships then.

Well, the allies never admit Italy as a allied formality.
But we also have Monaco and San marino who changed side in the war.

I thought you were wrong here but looked it up. Indeed Itally was apparently recognized as a co-belligerant but it looks like they weren't included as a formal member of the allies at least in Europe. Italys changeing sides I thought to be pretty well known but it's exact position in the "alliance" is apparently not as well known or as clear. Thanks.
But we also have Monaco and San marino who changed side in the war.
Did they have the same status as Italy?
