Translation Help Required !! German to English.

Post by Shadow »

Greetings Troops !! :D

Could someone please give me the proper translation of the German military terms: "in Zuführung" and, also "im Abmarsch" ??

I think the first one has something to do with being in some type of supply status and the second, I believe, means that the unit is departing it's present area of operations.

Also, is there any difference between the terms "Antransport" and "Abtransport" ??

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Hello

"in Zuführung" means that it is in progress of being transferred to this location.
"im Abmarsch" means departing... literally it means that they are marching on foot and it is sometimes really used to distinguish it to "im Abtransport" which means that the unit is departing - transported-. But also in relation with motorized or transported units "im Abmarsch" is seen.

"Antransport" means that it is in the progress of being transported to this location.
