British VIII corps, 1944

Post by MadDog »

I am looking for information from the British VIII corps, Sept 1944 - Feb 1945. They were stationed in Belgium/Holland at the time. In particular I am looking to find POW records that would show many German prisoners were taken from which units (G-2 reports in US records).

thanks,

G2 is intelligence staff, the UK equivalent would be G (Intelligence) Staff. However, I think that PW handling and accounting was an A Staff matter. G Int would mostly be interested in any interrogation reports and any reports of the units PW came from for enemy ORBAT and strength purposes, and I'd guess they'd be cherrypicking who they questioned.
