Gibralter Cuff badge

Hi guys,

A colleague of mine was asked about a German uniform in our WW1 section with a Gibralter Cuff badge. Believing it to be a mistake i took a wander around and found the uniform, it belonged to a fusilier of the 73rd Hannover regiment wearing a camoflaged stahlhelm with the cuff title of Gibralter.
Is this a battle honour that belonged to the regiment from years past?

Any help and illumination would be most appreciated, our Exhibitions team are fairly busy and would see my inquiry as a waste of their time!

I can't remember the exact details, but this cuff honours the battle fought for Gibraltar in 1704 where German, Dutch and British forces combined under the Prince of Hesse. The Royal Marines still carry 'Gibraltar' as their only displayed battle honour.
