Hi
I’m a bit out of my depth with these binoculars. I understand they are Kriegsmarine and made by Ernst Leitz: they are marked “beh” and have the serial number 441323. They are also painted a green/blue colour rather than the black I would expect on such glasses. I have been told that U-Boats often used Zeiss glasses and that these could occasionally be in a shade of green.
Is it possible that the colour on these Leitz glasses is original or is it more likely that the colour was changed at a later date?
Any comments or help would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Mike
