Well, Sophia The Magnificent was married to Carlo Ponti and Carlo's first wife's last name was Fiastri, so we are looking for a Ponti or Fiastri????

Hello John!

Well, she had a sister you know... Who was married to...? One of the sons of Waleed's Mystery man! So Ponti is the wrong italian road to go down...

Yes, she is known to do that!

The Mystery Man of Waleed's Double Quiz/Riddle is one of the most (in)famous men in the 20th century... An as such, very easily recognizable!

O.K. Sophia's sister was Anna Maria Scicolone, who was married to Romano Mussolini, son of Benito Mussolini. The mystery man must be Benito Mussolini himself. I hope I am correct, because the little gray cells are getting tired

BRAVO JOHN, BRAVO!

Yes, Benito as an allied 1917 soldier with facial hair and practising the well known Il Duce pose :D
After initially writing on numerous occasions against the war in the socialist paper Avanti, Mussolini relented and he and his class were called up in August of 1915 for active duty.
Although his military record was unremarkable, it was without blemish and it has been suggested that he may have been prevented from moving further along in the ranks due to his ongoing political agitation in various periodicals. Mussolini's military experience is told in his work Diario Di Guerra. Overall he totalled about 9 months of active, front-line trench warfare. During this time he contracted paratyphoid fever. His military exploits ended in 1917 when he was wounded accidentally by the explosion of a mortar bomb in his trench. He was left with at least 40 shards of metal in his body He was discharged from the hospital in August 1917 and resumed his editor-in-chief position at his new paper, Il Popolo d'Italia.

Well, with enough prodding even a Chimpanzee is able to accomplish minor tasks :D The fact that Benito fought in WWI is new to me; I knew of his early political activities but not that he fought in the trenchs. A very informative quiz indeed!!

Hello Gents:
A new quiz has been delayed due to the fact that I have been very busy, and I am having a rather nasty time trying to upload a photo to our site; bear with me.

If the image is on your hard drive, simply press the "Upload attachment" below. Find and choose the image on your PC and press "Add the file". When finished with message submit!
Try with a preview first and see how it comes out. Should work, works for me!

If the image is somewhere on the net, I would suggest downloading it first, rename the file and post it as shown above
If you don't rename... @{ Usually Guessed in a jiffy!

Hello Gents:
At last I have found the time to post a new quiz: The young man found at the link below was active in WWI and became famous in his own lifetime. Let the guessing begin :D
