WWI Trench Maps

Post by von Salza »

Hello all,

WWI, not really my area of interest. However, while surfing around military maps on the internet I came across this site that some on this forum might find useful, especially if you are into maps.

Caution, extremely expensive. But maybe someone might be tempted if they have lots of spare cash.

Great idea but too pricey.

Regards

David

I believe that the Public Records Office in London can provide copies of trench maps also. I examined a few of them whilst researching my Great-Grandfather's war service. The problem is that they don't cover a lot of ground (at least the ones I looked didn't) due to being used for something like battallion-sized areas of operation, the scale I would say was about 1:25000 or so.
