Hi,
I got a blue officer fur coat, which has a nametag "Wolfgang Rüter". I only found a Generalmajor "Wolfgang Rüter", who was Commander of the Reichs-Institute for Air-Protection, Higher Column Leader with Air-Fleet 4 and Commander of Flak-Brigade XIV in Norway in 1941.
Can anybody give me a hint who wore these kind of coats and about the value!
Thank you!

Hello Hans Joachim and welcome to Feldgrau!
That's a very nice General's Winter coat! Here's a link to a short but detailed career biography on Generalmajor Wolfgang Rüter...

This once upon a time Generalmajor's war ended somewhat... bad, according to the above mentioned source!

Discharged from the Army (31 May 1944)
Due to the thoughtless extraction of another of the Military Service, and to continued disobedience and unjustified hunting as well as negligent disobedience he was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment by the Reichs-War-Court (11 Jan 1945)
Killed-in-Action as a Soldier of the Volkssturm (24 Apr 1945)
...unjustified hunting...

The furlined modification certainly fits with his Norwegian posting.
