Kurland - Insel Ösel

Post by Tom Houlihan »

http://www.kurland-kessel.de/ig-oesel/ig-oesel.html

This site is by a group of Wehrmacht veterans, a Traditionsverband as it were. I didn't read the entire translation of the page, as I wanted to get it on here soonest.

They have published a book about the fighting, but it appears to be in German only. Those interested in the Kurland fighting might want to visit.

I'd be willing to bet that if someone wanted to translate the book into English (geez, how subtle can I get? ), that someone could convince them of the worthiness of that project!

It looks interesting.

It's an excellent site, Tom. Check out the Feldpostbriefe section for scores of letters.
