RAD and OT

Post by Leo Niehorster »

Looking for data about the RAD and OT on the East Front on 22 June 1941 for the attack on the Soviet Union. In particular:
- RAD (number of units – Gruppen plus Abteilungen)
- RAD (number of men)
- OT (number of units – Einheiten)
- OT (number of men)

In addition, any info regarding the command structure of these organizations on 22.06.1941 on the East Front would also be appreciated.

Many thanks
Leo

Some good info might be found in the following work:

Gesamttitel: Die Organisation Todt im Einsatz 1939 - 1945, dargestellt nach Kriegsschauplätzen auf Grund der Feldpostnummern / Klaus Böhm
Verfasser: Böhm, Klaus
Erschienen: Osnabrück : Biblio-Verl., 1987
Schriftenreihe: Veröffentlichungen deutschen Quellenmaterials zum Zweiten Weltkrieg :
Abteilung 3, Quellen zur Geschichte der Organisation Todt ; ...
Anmerkung: 2 Bände. - 2 Teile in 1 Bd.
ISBN: 3-7648-1732-1

Probably available via university interlibrary loan (the university libary of Bremen does have a copy of both volumes, but only for inhouse using).

If I remember correctly Landesbibliothek Hannover has it

For RAD I would suggest to contact Dr. Michael Jonas,

He is the sole expert on this topic over here :!:
