Help For a Feld Polizei Helmet

Post by akille68 »

Hello,
I've got a Feld Polizei M42 helmet, with the name inscribed on leather.

I've done some researches on "Wolksbund" and this is what I got out...

Name: Siegfried Ernst Fleischmann
Dienstgrad: Feldwebel
geboren: 13.05.1916, Chemnitz
Truppenteil: 6./Pz.Gr.Rgt. 101
Erkennungsmarke: -71-10.I.R.11
Todestag: 23.11.1943
Todesort: Symy
Erstgrablage: Sumy / Witebsk
umgebettet nach: Witebsk - Sammelfriedhof (geplant) / Belarus

It is possible? Or just another soldier perhaps? I can garantee that the lid is not remounted...

Btw what means "Erstgrablage" and "Umgebettet nach" (online translations are not perfect)?

Let me know Your opinions.

Regards.

i have a photo album from the 101st grenadier regt, pre through post polish campaign, and to western sitzkrieg period. they fought hard in polish campaign, french campaign, and were chewed up very badly in fall of '43 on russian front.

the 101st was wiped out several times, and renamed, with what was left, with some newbies added in.
nice website!

I am interested in buying / trading for photo albums, photo groupings, diaries, feldpost groupings, etc, from any country in the world, any army/navy, etc, mostly 20th century!!
