a German I have never met has taken the time to photograph the grave and cemetery in Germany of a brother of my grandfather who died in WW1.
I am seeking to help him now.
one of his uncles is burried in Aluksne Latvia, he can not get there himself to see the grave and I thought maybe someone here may be able to help.
pm me and I will send the details I have which he got from the volksbund,
thanks

German Graveyards
I came across this and wondered if the original grave is there. The Germans bought some land and with the Latvians have jointly opened a cemetery in Saldus, Latvia with the purpose of reburying all the fallen German soldiers there. When I was there, It had about 14,000 graves with a plan of about 30,000 at the end of 2007.
