These two dog tags were dug by a friend of mine in the late seventies at VILLERS LA BONNE EAU near Bastogne, Belgium. It appears that both men were KIA because other items found in the fox-hole seemed to indicate that. One dog tag was foud in a fox-hole and the other one 15 yards away.
Both men, according to the MOB number were from the 2. Kompanie....and the precise location of discovery of those tags seems to be consistent with the death of gefreiter KARL ORF and HUBERT FEIDER ... if I read the book FALLSCHIRMPIONIERE IN DER ARDENNENSCHLACHT correctly.
My friend wrote to the WAST in 1993 but received non consistent answer.
These dog tags shall be shown inthe book about Bastogne i'm writing and I would really appreciate any help from specialists in that field
Thank you
Pierre
