DAL T vs. DAL S
I am looking for an explanation of the difference between army officers in the DAL T list as opposed to the DAL S list.
It took a while, but I finally found my answer.
On 6/12/43 the Army Personnel Office changed DAL I and DAL II to DAL T-for "Truppenführer" and DAL S-for Offiziere in Sonderverwendung"
They considered DAL T-
1. All Generals
2. All Officer that served in WWII in the Field Army
3. All Generalstaff officers
4. All Officers wounded in service in WWII
5. All WWI serving officers who served in WWII
6. All officer placed in DAL-T
DAL S-
All other officers not covered by above regulations.
