Luftwaffe Officer's in wool tunics

Post by spencer »

Does anyone know if luftwaffe officer's would have worn tunics made from emlisted man's wool for ground combat etc. Would they have worn a wool 4 pocket tunic or a wool fliegerbluse.

I know they are some pics of Rommel wearing a something along this line - does anyone know, for example if a fallschirmjäger or HG or Field division Officer would wear such a garment?

thanks in advance

I have seen lower ranking Luftwaffe officer's tunics that were actually of EM cloth.

Hi Everyone,

Here is a tunic badged for a Medical Major. As you will notice, it is an EM Fliegerbluse. From my experience, EM converted to officer tunics are not that uncommon. These were given to officers for free or very low cost. Officer's would use these for field use.
