Feldgrau Convention

Post by pzrmeyer2 »

Has anyone ever proposed such a thing? Say a weekend meeting of members somewhere? Might be fun. How about Berlin in Summer '07?

One day of raucus debate, a night of stammtisch boozing, and a historical tour the next day. More boozing that night too, of course.

Anyone game?

That actually sounds like a lot fun.

So I said to the wife."How about a trip to Berlin for one of my Forums get togethers?"

Her reply.." You spend hours online with them and now you want to spend a holiday with them too??? "

I took it as a No. :? But thanks for the idea.

Good idea!

Summer 2007 in Berlin would be great and I'll certainly be there!
Don't know about rummy New Jersey though (yes MH rum, you can't imbibe room  ). Lot of time and money involved in getting there for just a weekend :( . And that would work the other way 'round for Americans when it comes to Berlin I guess.
Lot's of shopping possibilities for the wives in Berlin too....oops..... 8)
And never mind the throbbing heads....that's what aspirins are for :D

Best regards,

Paul

It would be interesting to see how some of these "discussions" would proceed in real life, face to face!

Less heated for sure!
Might be good to have an ex-marine deputy-sheriff around though

Nah, everybody would behave in a civil and respectful fashion I bet.

Although being a minorposter myself I would hope that the commisar would come along. While drunk on wodka and that famous cache of rum, we could hoist the red banner on the reichstag - or perhaps the feldgrau banner - on the other hand security nowadays are so tight around the reichstag that a red banner and a bottle of rum would probably be picked up in the security check. And then again the red banner would probably be a little insensitive to the general public... maybe we should just get drunk on that cache of rum and sing the forumrules from the roof of the reichstag... on the other hand is it manly enough to ask for pinja colada? I really can't stomach hard liquer when served pure.

You can't climb on the Reichstag roof anymore - you'd fall through the new glass dome! Very non-PC the REAL "Health and Safety Nazis" would get you first......

No more climbing on the Reichstag? The world has gone insane! What about driving panzers down the street? Surely this is still allowed.
