Forum is moving over...

Post by Jason Pipes »

Just to let everyone know, you may experience some ups and downs, some downtimes, lags, etc over the next few days. I am moving the site over to a more secure, updated, cleaned up format this weekend. Just keep checking back if you notice the site is down or looks really strange, etc! :D

btw, a number of new moderators will be joining our ranks as well. I will be working out the final details with them shortly. Some I have spoke with, some not (in case you are waiting to hear back from me).

So from now on the pathetic topics will be actually dealt with rather than people complaining about them? Good.

Jason, will you be on Feldgrau more often?

I have been for 2 weeks or so... 8) Deleting the fake user accounts is enough to keep my busy all day for now, it sucks. Ack. The new forum will do away with that problem thankfully!

Er, don't get used to anything just yet... Much/all will be changing soon. I'm up to my neck in text files and php code right now... The avatar gallery will most certainly be present as before!

Hi Jason,

The forum and your site is very informing, and helps me a great deal.
Feel free to use any names or lists from ubootwaffe.net on your great site.

This is a wonderful site.
Cheers Herb.

I have to echo what others have said about the new design. To say the least, it is very eye-pleasing.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Tom,

Ubootwaffe.net is now started listing all Kriegsmarine surface vessels crew names that i can find, which is very hard to find.
The more people that see the lists the more info i get, half the info on the lists is coming from people who see them.
The web is a wonderful tool for research.

It's a full time job for me.
Herb.

...update is still in process and will continue Sunday night and into the early part of next week. If you continue to see strange things just refresh, come back in a few, or let me know! Everything should be "back to normal" in a few more days. We've already resolved the spam bot fake user registration issue. Now we just have to purge all the fake accounts they set up...

When you post, scroll down a little bit. You'll see a tab that says "Upload attachment." Go from there...
