To digitize microfilm you have to use a lightbox so that the light goes trought the microfilm and into the camera. Use a lightbox that is used for watching Dias. Then use a camera with a macrofunction in a fixed position over the microfilm. Thats all.

Olve -

Here's what I posted a couple of days ago on another thread:

Interlibrary Loan
The presence of the Haslob book in a U.S. library is not a sure thing, but it's worth a try (to obtain it through interlibrary loan). If it is held by someone (meaning a library), you will have a much better change of getting it if you go through a local university or community college library rather than a local public library. The ILL system in the U.S. is not what it used to be and today university libraries (the most likely holder of a German language book) no longer like loaning their books to public libraries. But they do loan to other university or college libraries.
If you need further information, let me know.

Hello all,

Could someone tell me, in Nara, where can I find KTB, Meldungen and Kriegsgliederungen for Heerestruppen? For example, I want to find archivs about Panzerjäger-Abteilung 525 (Sfl.) since 1942 until the end of the war. Where can I search? Is there some guide(s) for heerestruppen, like for Divisionen? Or must I search in Korps and Armee guides? If yes, do you know how to identify a particulary Heerestruppen and which roll(s) to order?

Many many thanks to your help, because I'm little perplex with research on Heerestruppen.

Best Regards,

Here is the information provided by the Militärarchiv, Freiburg, covering Panzerjäger-Abteilungen. It does not appear that they have any records about the unit you are interested in and you may therefore have to focus your research on the actual units it was subordinated to.

RH 39
Verbände und Einheiten der Schnellen und Panzertruppe
1926-1945
