Hello
I'm in a process of thinking about buying these:
Any thoughts about the authenticity of these?
According to the seller, the notes contain the text:
Wer diese qiuttung verfälscht oder nacmacht oder gefälschte quittungen in verkerh bringt.Wird strengstens besraft.
The frontside, shown in the picture, contains the text:
Theresiansnstadt,am1.jänner 1943 ja Der älteste der juden.
Signature by:
Jakob Edelslein
According to the seller, these were made just to fool the Red Cross and were never used anywhere.
I have my doubts about the authenticity, as first of all, those look very very new and being in a very good condition after some sixty years.
Second thing is, that why the currency is Kronen? Why not Reich Marks?
Also, the 1 Kronen "banknote": Eine Krone? Is it really spelled like that in German? Shouldn't it be Eins Krone?
Any thoughts would be a really appriciated.

Theresienstadt Lagergeld
In 1938, the German Sudetenland was reunified with Germany, but the mainly Czech parts remained independent till March 1939, when occupied by Hitler. In these Czech parts, which were autonomous, Hitler kept a Czech president (Emil Hacha), civil service, police, army (8,000 men) and also currency, in Kronen. Theresienstadt was right at the border, and so used Kronen, not Marks.

Could not find the edit button. Anyway, just to stress that I do not endorse the comments on that website--I posted it only because of its details on Lagergeld in German concentration camps.

Hello
Thank you very much for the information.
I'll have to check that site at home, as our company policy restricts my access to that particular site, so I can pretty much guess what the site is about.
Feldgrau however is accepted by our internet filter :)
