Thanks Marc

Cover is Walter Plöw, a III.Bataillonskommandeur with
the Regiment "Nordland" and later SS-Flak Abteilung 11
commander with Division "Nordland." His German
Cross recommendation, within his bio, includes combats
while with both units.

In reply to PMs about personally signed book copies. I don't sell books myself but have a military book dealer friend whom I lunch with often. You can order any of my books via him, including reserving a new vol. 3 when available, and have them signed to you personally. His name is Jack Hatter of "Volume Control." His e-mail is [email protected]

I just heard that Mark came out of the surgery well and the doctor says that there was no damage to his heart. He is expected to be up and walking around in the hallways tomorrow.

Was just now brought home tonight, a difficult nearly 2 weeks. Initial surgery went OK and I was walking, but 20 hours after I woke up I stopped getting oxygen in my blood. Was allergic to 2 preventative drugs given during the operation. The reaction took a day to appear, and nearly 10 days of drugs and 24 hours a day on breathing respirator to fix. Perhaps a Wound badge in gold with swords and diamonds. Now just happy to be home, was horrible to be in there that long.

Mark, after all you've been through, a mere lack of oxygen isn't going to stop you!

Welcome back. It's good to have here again.

Mark - Glad to hear that you are back and that you did not become a victim of "medical treatment".
