Single Player Board Games

Are there any good single player war board games out there. Would love to start wargaming, but unaware of any other gamers in my neck of the woods. Baltimore, MD area

There are a few although it's been a while since I've played any of them. There are also web tools that let you play some board games over the net.

Baltimore was the original home of Avalon Hill Company one of the most famous of the early board game producers. I'd think that there would still be groups in the area. You might try looking for local gaming conventions or clubs. Either one may help you find local opponents. Here are some links that may prove useful:
