4. Pz - Poland 1939.

A Pz Kw II of the 4. Pz (see emblem on the side of the driver's slit) on a dusty Polish road; it carried a subdued cross........................................

Pz on a halt in a Polish town; in the foreground a kleiner Panzerbefehlswagen (Sd Kfz 265) and behind a Pz Kw II; Note the cross was erased from the original place and a smaller one was painted under the machine gun, the unit emblem was to the other side................................

Balkenkreuz on tanks in Poland 1939.

At the beginning of the Polish campaign, the German tankers strictly complied with the directive for German armored vehicles (top photo), however they soon realized that it was not healthy and modified it (bottom photo)........

Thin white crosses!

The first picture was taken in the north (possibly PR 7?) and the second in the south of Poland (5. Pz Div)..............
