Hi all...
Anyone have details of German defences and forces and, from the German perspective, the actual military operations of D-Day and immediate aftermath in and around the Utah Beach / Exit 3 causeway junction village of Audoville-la-Hubert?
I also am interested in all aspects of the German occupation and administration of Audoville - la - Hubert and the surrounding Commune district.
From a military angle Ops Reports, Int reports, After Action reports, Casualty reports, War Diaries, maps, plans, soldiers' diaries and memoirs, photographs...all welcome...Reciprocal research any legal subject assured.
Besten and a bientot...Al :->.
PS...Slightly off-topic but also welcome is all info ref US forces operations same area and ref US forces in the vicinity until end of July 1944

Not from the German perspective, but a quick and easy link is the US Army's official history:
http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USA/USA ... index.html
including a quite detailed map of the AUDOVILLE-LA-HUBERT area:
http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USA/USA ... nnel-3.jpg
It provides some detail on US tactical operations in and around UTAH. Also, some explanation (from the US postwar perspective) of the German defences.
Cheers,
