Hello everyone,

I am looking for the name of the Ic officer during the initial period of war of operation Barbarossa. I went through most of the files of 4 Panzer Division on microfilm, most known books (neumann, SR33, SR12, AR103, etc), but untill now I can not find the name of this perticular officer. Any suggestion for (unconventional) ways to retrieve the name?

I have the name of the Ia and the Ib, but Ic is more critical for my research.

Well, FWIW Wegmann/Zweng have something a bit different:

27.04.40 - Hptm Albrecht Kleinschmidt
06.11.44 - Hptm Jörg v.Goetz u Schwanenfleiß
01.02.45 - Olt. Papst

I rather trust Scherzer, his research is more actual, wider spread and more in deep then the Wegmann/Zweng editions
