Last Days on the Eastern Front - Chaos and Desperation

Werner Mork was deployed to eastern Germany in January of 1945. From his viewpoint we are able to watch as the army leaders became more and more desperate, more and more repressive and the orders became more and more divorced from reality.
His unit was under continued pressure from the Russians and they were almost continually under fire.
Mork's memoirs offer a detailed account of the Wehrmacht's descent into chaos in the face the overwhelming force of the Russian Army and the loss of command and control by the German headquarters.
