Hello,
How old were the German Soldiers when the campaign to conquer Poland, began? And when the campaign in the West began?
German soldiers who fought in Poland, could they also be involved in the Battles in the West?

Re: Invading Poland
Hello,
I don't know about the average but from my family speaking my grandfather was 32 at the start of the Poland campaign and his one brother even some years older.
Both also got to serve in Russia and on the western front (mainly France).
I hope that helps....

Soldiers are as old as they are. My father was 25; von Rundstedt would have been 64. My father fought in Poland; the West & East. Very normal at the time.

Re: Invading Poland
My great-uncle was 34 or so when he went to the Eastern Front in Russia in 1941. I think he was in reserves before that. so don't know when he joined. He was born in 1908.
